Arts & Crafts

First up, the 26th annual Oak Bluffs Harbor Festival is Saturday June 17th from 11 am to 8 pm. With live music, arts, crafts, island vendors and non-profits lining the harbor, this promises to be a super fun day on the island. Oak Bluffs is easy to get to from Treehouse Lodge, a short walk down the hill to the ferry that delivers you right into the middle of this bustling harbor town. Movie Time

Catch a film as part of the summer festival at the Martha\’s Vineyard Film Festival which offers dinner and a movie on Wednesday nights at the Chilmark Community Center. Starting June 27th this year, and offered all summer, this special series is well worth the trip out to the island. More info here.

Cool Kids in Cars

You will love the auto show at Heritage Gardens this summer, a one of a kind day to explore old cars and appreciate vintage vehicles. Check out the amazing collection on display on Saturday June 9th from 10 -2 (rain date June 10th). More info here.

Strawberry Festival

Falmouth used to be a famous location for strawberries, with huge meadows of this juicy crop leading down to the oceans edge and restaurants from Boston to New York bragging about the juicy fresh Falmouth berries. While most of the strawberry fields are gone now (replaced with Cape Cod homes built like crazy in the 40\’s & 50\’s), the Strawberry Festival remains, a vestige of a simpler time. A charming gathering under a huge tent, you will find well priced lobster rolls, strawberry shortcake, hot dogs, face painting, attic treasures and more. And just down Main Street, the Arts Alive Festival rocks out the same weekend with live music, crafts, artists and much more. This year on Saturday June 16th in Falmouth, MA. More info here.
