Park Your Beach Chair on the Perfect Woods Hole Beaches

Stony Beach

Stony Beach is a hidden gem at the bottom of Cape Cod, right on Buzzards Bay. This low-key beach is the perfect little spot to escape the crowds of summer and enjoy peace by the ocean. Bring the kiddos for a fun day under the sun! It’s ideal for the little ones because of its calm water and close distance to other activities in the village of Woods Hole. It’s easy to access, and you can park in the small parking lot for a daily fee or if you have a beach sticker.

This beach is also great for walking the dog, swimming, paddling, fishing, and even snorkeling in the shallow waters by the jetties.

Nobska Beach

Another beautiful beach to visit is Nobska Beach. This shoreline hugs the village of Woods Hole on the southernmost tip and juts out into Vineyard Sound towards Martha’s Vineyard. You can even get a look at the beautiful Nobska Lighthouse from the beach, or head straight to the site to take a tour!

Surf Drive Beach

Just near Main Street in Falmouth is Surf Drive Beach. Visit this beach on Vineyard Sound for a fun day of swimming and playing in the sand. If you’ve never tried skimboarding, it’s a fun sport to try out in this area, where you lightly skim over the edge of the water on a board.

If you decide to visit Surf Drive Beach, you can park your car in the private lot or chain your bike up to a bike rack before heading onto the sandy banks.
